Working Overtime

I'm trying to get ready for my class tonight. While burning cd's and making labels for the cd's,
I ran across this comic strip at a Photoshop Forum. So true!

Where to Purchase PSE?

On Monday, I'm starting an 8 week class on the basics of Digital Scrapbooking through my
local Community Ed.

The biggest question is where to I buy this and what version should it be?

If you have a Mac running, Mac OS X or greater, buy the PSE 4.0 for Mac. I have

an iMac Intel last year's model and it runs beautifully. There is an upgrade coming
for Mac using early 2008. If you already own an old copy of PSE and have the serial
numbers, you'll save $20 with a mail in rebate.

A lot of websites claim that with an Mac with an intel processor you may run windows software on it with Boot Camp. This is true but be careful, PSE is HUGE graphics program
by running it already with Boot Camp, you'll split your memory making the program run
slower. I plan to buy the upgrade when it comes out.

Windows Users - For our class we are using PSE 6.0, the newest software available. Any of the older versions should work great and may be much cheaper. Just like the Mac version, the upgrade will save you $20.

No Matter where you chose to purchase Photoshop Elements keep in mind that it is wise to purchase from a
reputable company. Just because its a good deal at a low price, if you haven't heard of the company, I would
buy from them. Here are some Amazon links.
Amazon - PSE 6.0 for Windows - $20 Rebate on upgrade
Amazon - PSE 4.0 for Macs - would have to check for upgrade rebate
